The Hemoparasite Collection of (HEM-UFMG) GEIM houses voucher material of blood parasites, such as haemosporidians, hemogregarines, trypanosomatids, and microfilariae from wild animals, mainly birds and reptiles, originating from different regions of Brazil. Currently, the collection is undergoing organization and digitization to integrate and make the data available on open-access biodiversity platforms.
